Zheng is a devised Dada-inspired performance exploring the absurd nature of the world in which we are governed. Promises made get turned upside down, priorities become misconstrued. It is time the facade is ripped down to start the deconstruction of a world that’s lost its way. Phasing between chaos and alliance, Zheng is full of unexpected events provided through the medium of movement and circus.

Through a one-week R&D process, ZHENG grew from an idea into a much more developed piece of devised work. We worked with 4 dancers / circus workers to explore movements through sound, language, and calligraphy.
